Lens and FIZ protection for land use
Current offer: GoPro Mission1 PRO ILS only; two FIZ actuators and manual control. It is not an underwater or diving housing. Camera fit, exact weather envelope, and final contents remain to be verified.
A compact orientation for invited collaborators, based on the updated project documents. The material below is a planning summary; engineering, commercial, schedule, and performance claims still need owner and supplier confirmation.
The updated architecture document describes a shared 120 mm front optical / FIZ assembly with camera-specific rear shells, positioning interchangeable lens and control hardware around a common interface.

Proposed molded optical-polycarbonate rear shells mate to the shared front assembly. Current campaign targets are 30 m for the recreational shell and 45 m for the optional black hard-anodized aluminum “Full Metal Jacket” configuration. These are unqualified targets until verified by a defined test program.
The document specifies a three-prong, 30° quick-turn interface, 120 mm nominal flange, radial primary O-ring, and secondary face wiper. The bayonet engagement, recessed support, tolerances, seal glands, materials, and retention loads need engineering review and pressure testing as a complete assembly.
The launch direction is manual FIZ control with an open I/O / pogo-pin interface and a swappable control module. The source architecture also mentions AI pods, touchscreen consoles, wireless control, ROS 2, and specific electronics; those items are not part of the confirmed launch offer and should remain future concepts unless explicitly re-approved.
The revenue forecast is an internal scenario model. Its prices overlap the current reward ladder, but its unit mix, margins, add-ons, corporate assumptions, and funding uses are not approved campaign commitments.
Event offers for GITEX and CES are planned; terms remain TBD.
The updated forecast models 800, 2,200, and 3,200 base-unit cases, with target gross revenue around US$2.05M in its 2,200-unit scenario. These figures depend on unvalidated mix, costs, capacity, tooling, fulfillment, platform fees, and add-on take rates.
Use as a discussion model only. Reconcile the scenario arithmetic, BOM, scope, costs, and cash plan before using externally.
New Dongguan Victor Metal Products quotations are below the broad tooling assumptions in the forecast, but cover only specific parts and tooling. Values are EXW in CNY; the USD figures are planning conversions at ¥1 = US$0.1498 on the quote date.
Five 1×1 / 1×2 mold lines for BMD back shell, GoPro back and front shells, and Z CAM back and front shells. Quoted per-part prices range ¥4.56–¥8.64. Production material is listed as clear PMMA; confirm whether PMMA or PC is the final material.
¥38,000 die for the ADC12 120 mm front 3-prong flange; ¥13,250 tooling for the 6063 extrusion + CNC rear flange. Quoted part prices: flange ¥19.80, lathed/anodized 6061 hood ¥48.00 (MOQ 1,000), and extrusion/CNC flange ¥17.65 (MOQ 1,000). Die life stated as 50,000 shots; terms include a free duplicate set if life is reached.
Ten sample parts across the listed BMD, GoPro, Z CAM, 3-prong flange, hood, and three rear flange pieces. Shell materials are quoted as clear PMMA or PC. Confirm exactly which parts are included and the prototype delivery lead time.
Combines ¥188,650 tooling with the ¥10,190 CNC sample batch. This is not the full project tooling or launch cost: extension-tube and FIZ/accessory tooling, other camera variants, optics, seals, electronics, testing, freight, taxes, and production quantities are outside or not explicit in these quotations.
The updated timeline document proposes a Shenzhen → Dubai → Las Vegas corridor with November reserved for samples and machining footage. The previous Bangkok stage is removed.
The updated source timeline currently schedules both a dhow event and a Fujairah C500 party. That conflicts with the latest direction to make one event mandatory and evaluate the villa-led format against a dhow alternative. Keep one event in the public roadmap until the choice is made.
Nestworks will attend CES with its own booth. The AQWALY plan is to display one fully working prototype there, share selected videos of C500-machined AQWALY parts, and consider an optional vertical process banner.
Proposed line: “Nestworks C500 made it possible in two months only, from concept to diving.” Confirm the exact start/end dates and evidence for the “two months” and “diving” wording before printing or publishing.
